Chris has been in quality assurance since 1972, and consulting in the VET sector since 2003. He has run a variety of businesses at the level of Quality Manager and senior management roles. He has been involved in the setting up and development of a large number of RTOs on the East coast of Australia. He has provided advice and practical aspects of assessment within hospitality, beauty, finance, business, aviation and business services for both local RTOs as well as CRICOS colleges.

Chris has an MBA in Technology Management from Deakin University and BSB51607 Diploma of Quality Auditing. He recently has worked as an Expert Witness in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal for RTOs facing regulator shutdown with much success.

Chris continues to push for integration of technology and the improvement of practices into the learning space to enhance the learning outcomes for students and for the training communities. Win him over with Anzac biscuits – it works every time.

Amanda Amanda Starkey

Amanda has worked for the past 5 years in VET; initially she commenced work within a financial services RTO and was essential to the development and implementation of many of the organisations projects including the introduction of the VET in Schools program.

Amanda has been with Phoenix Compliance Management since June 2012 and brings a dynamic, innovative energy to the team.

She holds the BSB51607 Diploma of Quality Auditing and conducts a large number of desk audits as well as third party audits on site. She has a profound understanding of the NVR Act and its application as well as the National Code requirements for International Colleges.

Amanda has worked to establish new RTO's across various industry sectors including Financial Services, Business Services, Health, Community Services, Building and Construction. She holds specialised skills in the collation of records/documents for rectification of non compliances identified by ASQA.

Amanda is also talented at the design and development of assessment material. She has developed assessment tools for over 100 units of competency, with demonstrated audit success. You will want Amanda at your table on Trivia nights. Sudoku master.

Bronwyn Bronwyn Hodgekiss

Bronwyn Hodgekiss came to Phoenix Compliance in May 2013.

As Administration Manager, her portfolio of responsibilities encompasses Phoenix Compliance Human Resources, Information Technology, Management Information systems and databases, Payroll, General and front office management.

Bronwyn believes that administration is the back-bone of daily business operation. She describes it as the largely internal function which ensures that all support services within the organisation are providing the best platform, to assist in the delivery of excellent products/services and customer service.

Bronwyn has over Twenty (20) years' experience in the field of Administration and she has worked extensively in administration and finance throughout her professional career. Bronwyn has strong organisational skills and is a people person whilst managing to maintain her professionalism in any situation, she brings to the position proven leadership abilities, as well as team building and personnel management.

Bronwyn is also a qualified Counsellor and this adds to her overall approach to the care of the business, staff and clients. Bronwyn also holds a Diploma of Quality Auditing.

When not at work you could find Bronwyn at the gym doing a class or catching up with friends over coffee.

Connor Connor Boehme

Connor Joined Phoenix Compliance early in 2014 as an Administration Officer, she quickly outgrew that role and moved over to being a Compliance Officer, she has a good knowledge of the 2015 standards and she now holds a Certificate III in Business Administration and is currently undertaking her Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Connor has worked to establish new RTO across various industries, including Business, finance, construction and security.

Connor has been involved in ASQA audits and the rectification of non-compliances.

Connor enjoys most girly pursuits, such as Shopping, Hair and Beauty.

Madeline Barnes

20 years management experience in managing small education / training colleges and businesses in General Manager / CEO positions.  In addition to an MBA, I also have a Master's degree in International Education Development.

Specialising in RTO management and compliance, streamlining operations, marketing, increasing profit and writing customised assessment tools.

Consulting on RTO Management, HR, Change Management, NVR Standards, RTO registration and renewal, and policies and procedures.

I have several years’ experience in both CRICOS, non-CRICOS, ELICOS, corporate and short courses, and non-registered colleges as I have worked in the Training and Education industry since 1994.

I have worked with RTOs in several industries including: beauty, business, financial services, design, construction, warehousing, aviation, music and dance.
